We’ve had cats all our lives. In fact my earliest memory is of a kitten skipping after me, when I was just over 3. There started an enduring adoration.

The idea for our gift range came from the loss of little girly cat, Pansy. She’d been ill, had an operation which caused another serious problem, and was taken to a specialist vet for her second operation in as many days. On my journey back, I didn’t know whether she’d make it home. As I gazed out of the window, on this mockingly bright and sunny day, a comforting phrase came back to me – as well as the initial idea for our appreciative gifts.

I couldn’t help smiling though when I got home and was greeted at the door by her brother, Mabley, with his Joker-like expression and fluffy tail bobbing like a Las Vegas showgirl’s headdress as he led me towards the kitchen! So you can imagine settling in for a quiet dinner for one, or settling into a new home in a new neighbourhood. You might be enjoying some rare quiet in a generally noisy and hectic household, or you may be a little sad.

You’re alone but for the companionship of your loving feline but you’re smiling as they snuggle up, amusing you with their quirky antics. If you’re missing your favourite feline, remember that:

Cats will get you through a time of no people better than people will get you through a time of no cats.
